A retake on Mondays

by Caroline on February 15, 2010

I normally don’t like Mondays (just like the song). No matter what my age or what I may be doing at that stage of my life, Mondays have just always been a day you just try and get through. It is a day of planning, sorting out, looking ahead and worst of all – laundry.
This Monday evening however I discovered an interesting fact: In Old English, most Germanic, Norse, Dutch, Japanese, Korean and in many other languages, the word Monday literally means Day of the Moon. Monday therefore is traditionally for new beginnings, healing and the feminine mysteries.
So tonight, I will put my Monday blues aside and take a moment to connect with my femininity and look at the moon.

Well, hell, I’ll remember that as I put on the next load of washing!

Monday Monday: I see the Moon and the Moon sees me, God Bless the moon and God bless me, you and everyone. Luv Ya Babe. Min
