Nina will be 8 months in exactly 1 week. She is growing at an amazing rate and into everything. Her personality has really taken shape and she is vibrant, strong, energetic and has a zest for life. She now shouts at Amy when Amy tries to take toys away from her and hates to be excluded from anything. Food continues to be a great love of hers and she is eating all manor of things now. I am continuing to make my own baby food but am now making more tasty combinations and proper meals and don’t puree it anymore as she seems able to handle different textures. She has even eaten Marie biscuits and Flings, treats that Amy was only allowed once she turned 1 year! I guess that is the 2nd child thing. Much to my sadness my baby is no longer a baby anymore and has virtually weaned me as she is no longer interested in being breastfed. This morning I stopped the morning feed and gave her a bottle instead, which she seemed thrilled about. I have to really get my head around the fact that she is my last baby and that the whole Newborn thing is over. Nina is now also keen to be moving and has been crawling backwards for a few days now. It is really funny to watch as she slides around the floor trying to play with her sister. She is incredibly vocal and now says, ‘dada’, ‘mama’, ‘baba’, ‘numnum’ and just recently, ‘hello’. She is also trying to say her name. I must say she is an incredibly friendly baby and quite content to spend time with anybody, even a total stranger, as she has done lately at some of the parties I have been too. (One woman even commented on how chuffed she was holding Nina as Nina was the only baby ever to not cry with her!) I have some cute photos I will be putting up shortly.

I just love hearing how they are growing . Its really weird to say this but I miss her ..even though we have never met. I cant believe how she is progressing. I cannot wait to meet her.
It seems as though with second children they do develop faster because they have to. cant see your big sister having a fling and you cant have one
cant believe she is going to be crawling and saying her name …!!!
cant wait
lots of love to you hun as always. miss you too

What a joy both your babies are to me. Of course, Amy was not impressed by her loud greataunt and has taken time to warm to me but Nina has, I like to believe, liked me from the start. Why??? Well I think it is because she is going to be like me loud, in your face and a people person. She is growing fast but she has Amy to copy and that is the advantage of not being the first born. Thank you for sharing them both with us. Love you lots. XXX hug hug hug
