Nina Update – 6 months!

Well Nina is now 6 months old. She went for her checkup on Friday and weighs 7.25kgs! He is really happy with her though and says she is ‘perfect’. She was a really happy, smiley baby with him and seemed to enjoy the outing. She is such a social butterfly and loves ‘chatting’ away with everyone. She is not so interested in books and toys and much prefers interacting with people. This does not bode well for her school career though! Detention here we come! Lol.
Nina is doing really well and is now on solids. I have given her porridge, butternut, pumpkin and pear so far and it has all gone well. She continues to be a bit of a piggy and gulfs down the food. This week she has started sitting on her own for a few minutes, which I am happy about and for about 2 weeks already she has been babbling and saying “DADADADADADA’ and “BABABABABABA”.  This week she started saying “MAMAMA” which needless to say I am happy about and think is about time! She is a really adorable baby and always has a smile for you. She loves her bath and splashes like a mad-thing and she also enjoys anything to do with people, music and of course singing. She pulls Amy’s hair which does not go down too well and loves Amy’s dolls. She cackles with laughter at all the things Amy does and really seems to adore her sister which is so sweet.  I think once she is mobile she will be a handful as you can see she is just rearing to go. When she is on her tummy, she already tries to pull herself along and moves her legs vigorously. She has such a different temperament to Amy, it is so fascinating.  She is doing much better at night now as well and has been only waking once, which is better for me. I think she is really such a ball of delight at the moment and love her to bits.
