A kiss before dawn

by Caroline on September 30, 2009

We learnt to breathe life from the moment,
to observe every drop of dew,
every blade of grass
But life is finite,
all things come to pass.
I know in time the snow will cover the fields
and the cherry blossom will cease to bloom.
It is then that I will miss our conversations
It is then that I shall have to be content
with the memory of your smile.
