More about Nina

Nina is growing so fast. I can’t believe she is 5 months old already. I had her weighed this week and she is growing nicely and is 6.62kgs. She had some more inoculations which is always horrible and the poor thing seemed to recognize the procedure and was a smiley, happy baby until the nurse took out the syringe. She then screamed like mad until it was all over. She ran a temperature that evening but now seems back to normal. This week I tried Nina with some porridge. She loved the taste but is still unsure what to do to actually eat it and her tongue darts in and out like a lizard. It is really cute and funny to watch. Amy was such a darling and was trying to help show her how to eat porridge with a spoon. I think this is one of many things that Amy will try and teach her little sister in the years ahead.
I adore this age so much. I remember loving it when Amy was this age as well as they start to interact so nicely with you. I can’t help but compare the two of them and they are just so very different and I actually realize now how advanced Amy was in so many ways by this stage. Nina is just a totally different kind of child and I think she is going to be a people person as she is mainly interested in people and loves vocalizing and singing with everyone, especially her great aunt and granny. She is honestly a delight and I feel so blessed to have her. I have realized just how much I love having a baby. I love being able to pick her up, give her a cuddle and breathe in her baby smell. I love the feel of her soft skin. I love her big, happy smile and the way she giggles. She is very giving with her love and is always so happy to see you. What could be better than that?
