What is a ‘runcible spoon’???

Love the sound of it.

“They dined on mince, and slices of quince,
Which they ate with a runcible spoon;”

- Edward Lear

Of course I had to find out, according to my American Heritage Dictionary a runcible spoon n. A three pronged fork, as a pickle fork, curved like a spoon and having a cutting edge. (Coined by Edward Lear (1812-1888)). This does not however explain runcible cats.
