I am totally in love with…
my new phone – The iphone 3G. Not only is it pretty but it has 16 gigs of space. I love the fact that I can have all my photos from my MacBook’s albulms on it and that it is an ipod as well. Best of all do you guys know you can now buy online from Itunes? Previously Apple never allowed us here in SA to access itunes but now because the iphone has been released here, they do! Yay. The flat screen makes sending text messages a bit of a challenge, but I am sure I will get the hang of it soon enough.
I am sad because…
I am finished reading ‘Breaking Dawn’, the last book in the Twilight series. I loved it and thought it was the best by far. Now I have no more books left to read and will have to hold out until the movie gets here.*sigh*
This weekend I hope to…
visit the Cape Town International Kite Festival.
The Kite Festival is an annual fundraiser and awareness event organised by the Cape Mental Health, a registered Not-for-profit Organisation that offers free community based services to adults and children with mental disabilities (both intellectual and psychiatric). Every year thousands of visitors, including international kite flying teams from around the world gather in Muizenberg to witness spectacular show kites, live entertainment, stall, schools’ competitions and much more. I have not been before but hope to go take a look sometime this weekend.
Then, in November…
The Cape Town Baby Expo is coming to the CTICC.
I have been to it a few times before and therefore know what exhibitors to expect. I hope to buy a thing for my pregnant tummy that helps cover it up under tops. As most women who have been pregnant know, after a certain point one’s pants slide down and one’s tops move up, revealing your bump in an often unattractive way. Some clever women invented this cotton thing that makes it look like you are simply wearing another t-shirt or layer of clothing. Anyway I plan to hunt down one of those and take a look at any toy specials that may be on offer. By the way, if you buy the latest Your Baby magazine, you get a free ticket for the show for the Friday, which is worth it as the show costs R40.
But really, If I could, I wish…
I could join my family in Langebaan this weekend. I feel like playing in the sand with Amy, breathing the fresh sea air, waking up to the sound of gulls and just plain relaxing.

I have an Ipod touch, totally amazing. I don’t do cell ‘phones so it suits me down to the ground. We’re also looking forward to the kite festival, photo op for Rowland
